United We Om believes that selfless service without attachment to the outcome creates deep, powerful and lasting change for both the individual and the collective. Karma yoga can present itself in many forms and our Karma Project grants support and amplify the good works of inspiring humans who are dedicated to creating change in their community and humanity.
Filling the Community Fridge
The Catskill Community Fridge provides free, unrestricted food 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. United We Om is grateful to be able to help fill the fridge with food, twice a week, for the next 10-weeks.
Interfaith “Babka” Diplomacy
Utilizing an Eastern European Jewish dessert, Babka Diplomacy will bring together faith leaders from across the faith spectrum in Kingston and Ulster County, to learn from each other, dispel stereotypes and misconceptions, to offer support and share resources.
BIPOC Yoga Collective Classes
Supporting year of classes for the Collective, amplifying their mission of creating an inclusive space where individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities can come together to practice yoga and cultivate peace, strength, and self-empowerment.
Sound Meditations for Autistic Adults
Autistic adults will receive 10 sessions of tailored sound meditations, utilizing tactile instruments to promote sensory regulation, emotional stability, mindfulness, and community connection.
Felt Tip Feelings: artistic workshops for the LBGTQ+ community
Dana will lead 4 workshops for members of the LGBTQ+ community, utilizing art as a form of introspection and self exploration, to create personalized zines called Coping Maps.
Yoga for Teens at a Recovery High School
Offering a structured yoga program within a high school focused on recovery and trauma, will help the teenagers manage their stress, anxiety, and mental wellness while they remain sober and in school.
Goal and Intention Setting Workshops for Incarcerated Men
Nick Harris will lead six, 90-minute goal and intention-setting workshops, for inmates serving time at two correctional facilities in OR and CA.
