Guided Nature Walks for Children

About the Karma Project

A U.S. Department of Interior study found the average American child can identify more than 1,000 corporate logos but can’t identify 10 native plants or animals growing nearby. This statistic inspired Joey-Lynn to create this series of free guided nature walks for families, focused on connecting children with nature through species identification and learning about their role within the ecosystem.

Created to cultivate connection within families as well as within the local environment, Joey-Lynn will share gentle movement, fresh air and fresh insights about our changing environment and what we can all do to preserve it for generations to come.

Meet the Karma Project Creator

Joey-Lynn Henderson is a biologist, registered yoga teacher, and NYS licensed hiking guide.

Through this work she shares her passion for cultivating health-mentally, physically and spiritually.

She is also the mother of the beautiful, inquisitive baby she is sharing the leaf with in the picture.
