Supporting Community with Yoga

About the Karma Project

During COVID, Kristen began a no-cost, choice centered, outdoor yoga class to support her community. The accessibility focused class grew quickly and moved to the local Community Center where every Friday, for more than four years, an incredible group of practitioners spanning all ages, bodies, abilities, and experiences gather to practice with Kristen.

United We Om is grateful to be able to share a variety of props with Kristen, so that she may provide the proper physical and nervous system support for her growing community.

Meet the Karma Project Creator

My name is Kristen (she/her) and I live in Red Hook, NY. I'm mom to a young son and two cats. I love hiking, wandering in nature, reading, creating, dancing, gardening, and practicing yoga. For my full-time job, I steward an organization that raises awareness about human trafficking, modern slavery, and exploitation. In my free time, I'm a volunteer end-of-life doula for my local hospice organization, and I guide weekly no-cost community yoga classes in my local area.
